Dubois vs. Wardley 2 live round-by-round scoring

#2 Daniel Dubois, SportsRatings Interim Heavyweight Champion, rematches #4 Fabio Wardley. Last time around Wardley almost ended things early, then Dubois did end things late after battering Wardley for many rounds.

Round-by-round scoring:

1. Dubois hits Wardley hard and gets a knockdown with his first punch, ref keeps him from following up as Wardley sits against the ropes. Wardley looks ok after 8 count. Dubois is going for the kill but can't get it. Wardley is swinging for the fences with every punch. Dubois is battering Wardley but he remains standing. Dubois ends round with huge flurry but can't drop him again. Dubois 10-8
2. Both fighters are more cautious early in round 2, probably tired as hell after round one. It's Dubois who gets in the first good shots near mid-round, definitely outboxing Wardley who is still swinging wide and leading with uppercuts. Wardley's chin is crazy, probably to his detriment. He's getting hit hard just like the last fight except Dubois is FRESH this time around and the ref stops it (the towel was thrown in at the same moment). DUBOIS TKO 2 WARDLEY

That was very one-sided, it was like rounds 4 through 11 from the last fight all compressed into 2 rounds. Dubois was barely touched during the fight, Wardley had one good jab maybe, probably the only one he threw; other than that he was whiffing on attempted KO punches. Meanwhile Dubois was extremely accurate with heavy, heavy punches, and Wardley was an easy target after that first punch.

Dubois re-affirms himself as the best heavyweight other than #1 Oleskandr Usyk, who is considered inactive by our system so Dubois remains the SportsRatings Interim HW champion. #4 Wardley will fall near the borderline of the top 10, probably #10.
