Washington 24
Wash State 21
Alabama 27
Auburn 24
Typical of the late 2023 season, two more big upset chances fall flat as Washington hits a last-second field goal to avoid overtime (they probably would have won anyway, since upsets are no longer allowed) and Alabama scored a late touchdown to beat Auburn.
It looks like the biggest upset of the day is going to remain #10 Louisville losing and sinking their 0.2% Playoff odds.
There's still hope left as Georgia Tech is playing the Bulldogs pretty close, and the Gators actually lead the Seminoles. But I'm not expecting anything but a close win by Georgia and FSU.
It must really suck to be Texas right now. Any other year and the team that started at #7 in the rankings would be up to #5 by now, and would just need a win in their conference championship game to move into the top four. Instead they're still at #7, and have to hope they pass Ohio State this week; they should pass Oregon or Washington next week; and then they need someone else to lose their title game.
And if that someone is Georgia, the Longhorns have to pray they don't get passed by Alabama, whom they beat in Tuscaloosa!
