Now that we know Trickett is finished, does that change your prediction?


Hi DC, just updated to address that. The answer is, no it doesn't. We mostly figured his appearance wasn't crucial, though it would be helpful of course. In the end, even if we docked 3 or 4 points we'd still be in the same position, having WVA the winner and beating the spread, and still under the over/under. And we didn't think a larger adjustment was warranted (neither did the oddsmakers). Call it superstition or laziness but we just don't like to make big changes to our initial picks since second-guessing could go on forever! Though if you think Trickett's absence is critical, you might very well be right.
