Time flies, and that means it's almost already time for college basketball. And that means if you do any prognostication you need to know what games are coming up, and for that you need an advance schedule. Luckily Kenneth Massey provides a file at

But, if you use Ken Pomeroy's games file to track the season as it goes, you need to convert Massey's file to Pomeroy format. Which means not only changing the format but also changing the team names to conform to KenPom naming conventions. I've done all that and the result is at

I've done a bit of cleaning up of the file, starting with Massey's raw file, comparing it to Kenpom.com's team schedules, and referring to a school's official site when needed (note to Alabama State: you need to get with Arkansas Pine Bluff and Mississippi Valley State and make sure you are all on the same page re: your early January road trip. Or Alabama A&M is going to show up on the same days). It's not 100% accurate obviously but it's close enough.
I've also added the "N" designation to the neutral-court games, which requires a decision sometimes as to whether it's a big "N" or a small "n". I tend to be more liberal in giving a home court designation so almost all grey areas get the small "n", which I end up counting as same as home court. For example, if Towson plays Utah in Baltimore? Small "n".
This year's SportsRatings pre-season ratings are going to be: last year's final Strength values. So no real "pre-season" ratings, just a starting point to hold things together until the real team strengths become apparent. You get 90% of the accuracy with 1% of the work, hard to pass on that!
